Years 7-12 Caritas Fast
Project Compassion brings thousands of Australians together in solidarity with the world’s poor to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity. This year, in support of Project Compassion, students and staff are invited to participate in the Caritas Fast.
Students wishing to participate must register with their PCG teacher. Students are asked to collect a minimum of $10 each and bring the donations they have collected to their PCG teacher on Monday 9 March or Tuesday 10 March. If donations are not brought in by the day of the fast, Wednesday 11 March, students will not be able to participate in the fast. Please click here to access a sponsor sheet.
On the day of the fast, students may wear their Guild uniform and meet with their Guild Coordinator, Guild Captains and Guild Representatives to register their attendance (this will be the final opportunity to hand in donations). Students participating will be given barley sugars at recess and a handful of cooked rice at lunch and a muffin at the end of the day. This small amount of food will help those participating appreciate how little some people in our world have to eat.
