Philippines Immersion Program

The Philippines Immersion is another practical way in which our Marist communities at Newman College and St Joseph’s School seek to build opportunities for solidarity, community engagement, relationships and connections between Western Australia and the Philippines.

From 24 November – 7 December, the program will take the Year 11 students to key places such as PREDA Foundation, Fatima Centre and Kuya Centre.

Years 7-11 Awards Ceremony

The Years 7–11 Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 22 November at 1.00pm in the Gymnasium. Parents of those students receiving awards will be notified early next week.

Year 7 Music Showcase

As 2018 draws to a close, the Year 7 Showcase will feature performances by our talented Year 7 soloists, groups from the Special Instrumental Program, the Year 7 Rock band and the Years 5-8 Concert band. Supper and the raffle will kindly be organised by parents from the Friends of the Arts (FOTA) committee.

This is free event, no tickets required. All welcome.

Marist Cricket vs Bunbury

The Newman College 1st XI Cricket team takes on Bunbury Catholic College at the ‘Rec Oval’ in Bunbury on Monday 19 November for the Brother Jordan Redden Shield.

As the current holders of the trophy, Newman is looking for its first hit out in preparation for the upcoming Marist Cricket Carnival.

Years 3-10 Vocal Showcase

Vocal students from Years 3-10 will be showcasing their talents at the 2018 Vocal Showcase. The program will feature songs drawn from a range of classical and contemporary styles.

Light refreshments will be provided. This is free event, no tickets required. All welcome.
