Lavalla Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to all students who successfully took part in today’s Athletics Carnival. We were blessed with good weather and it was so nice to welcome families back onto campus for one of the Years 3-6 community highlights of the year.

Although there were some very close contested races throughout the day, in the end it was Knox faction who came out on top winning the carnival with 8059 points. Congratulations also to Delany Faction for winning the Spirit Award. The final results from the day were:

  3. Marcellin – 5888
  4. Brigid – 5531

As well as witnessing some terrific individual displays of athleticism, even more importantly there were plenty of fine examples of sportsmanship and support for each other to be seen today too. Well done to these students.

We had two records broken on the day. Congratulations Ty Patterson Year 6 who broke the Year 6 Boys Turbo Jav with a throw of 32.62 metres and Maverick Patterson Year 3 who broke the Year 3 Boys Turbo Jav with a throw of 19.13 metres.
