Year 10 Subject Selection for Year 11 2021

Please see below for the timeline for Year 10 subject selection.

Term 2, Week 2
(Week beginning 4 May)
  • Subject Selection Research booklets distributed to all Year 10 students.
  • Senior Student Pathways booklet distributed to all Year 10 students.
Term 2, Week 4
(Week beginning 18 May)
  • Letter to families advising of the process for subject selection, and support offered by the College.
Term 2, Week 5
(Week beginning 25 May)
  • Year 10 students undertake Allwell Testing (in place of Semester 1 examinations).
  • Student Mentor Support Sessions with Year 12 students.
Term 2, Week 6
(Week beginning 1 June)
  • Online subject information handbook available to students and families.
  • Students provided with their subject selection forms for Year 11, 2021.
Term 2, Week 8
(Week beginning 15 June)
  • Due date for students to return subject selection forms to the College.
Term 2, Weeks 9/10
(Week beginning 22 June)
  • College contact with families to finalise the subject selection process.
Term 3
  • Information provided to students and families about work experience and VET Certificate qualifications.

Changes to University entry options for 2021

In response to the current situation and associated disruption to Year 12 students, some WA Universities have announced that alternative entry pathways will be available to Year 12 students. Interested parents and students can check the latest information at the addresses below.

• Curtin: Students can apply to a range of courses, using their predicted ATAR based on Year 11 marks. Applications are via the TISC website.

• ECU: No changes announced as yet.

• Murdoch: Year 12’s can apply using their predicted ATAR from Year 11.

• Notre Dame: Early Offers judged on Year 11 results, instead of Year 12 Semester 1. Non-ATAR students can apply for Early Offers to enabling courses.

• UWA: Some significant and generous changes that open several new pathways for Year 12’s.
