Term 3 Week 10: From the Dean of Wellbeing

Importance of celebrating student achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

On the weekend, the Marist Year 12 football team won their Grand Final, Year 12 student, Bec Viney won the A Grade Amateur Women’s Best and Fairest and is the youngest female to win the award, and this year we had a record number of entries in the Catholic Arts Festival.

Acknowledging student achievements is important for the wellbeing of students and serves to inspire others to strive for excellence. Belonging to groups within school, or beyond the College community helps to support young people to engage in activities with others and commit to an interest that gives them a sense of purpose.
