Champagnat Cup

The inaugural WA Champagnat Cup was held in Bunbury last Friday featuring our open Netball, boys Basketball and Boys football teams. The genesis of this day was our Sports Captains, Marcus Romano and Holly Johnson, who formulated the idea of competing against our Marist school in Bunbury. Traditionally, our Marist Carnivals would have been held in the Eastern States but with the advent of Covid-19 meant that this has not been possible in 2020. Thank you to Bunbury Catholic College and to all our players from Newman who participated and competed with a great Marist spirit. We look forward to this becoming an annual event.

IPSHA Cross Country Carnival

Today the Lavalla Campus sent 64 students to participate in the IPSHA Cross Country Carnival held at John XXIII College. This is a significant undertaking, and we would like to thank Mrs Richards for her guidance and to all families and students who have been attending running club in the crisp, cool Thursday mornings. We look forward to sharing the results of the carnival in the next edition of our newsletter!
