Term 3 Week 8: From The Deputy Principal, Mission and Catholic Identity
PK-12 Fathers’ Day Celebrations
Last week was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all fathers and father figures in the lives of our community across our three Campuses. Thank you to the many men who came to share these special moments at the Marian and Lavalla Campus Fathers’ Day liturgy and prayer assembly.
Newman Mothers In Prayer: an open opportunity for all our Mums
‘Mums in Prayer’ (MiPs) is coming to a kitchen table near you …
We have a newly formed triplet of Newman Mums who meet around their kitchen table for 1 hour, once a fortnight to pray for their children, their children’s friends, teachers and our wider school community. They are looking for other like-minded Mums who would enjoy praying together in a relaxed environment over coffee (and sometimes cake!). Click here to read more.
Remar Blue Solidarity Camp
In Week 6, 24 Year 11 Remar Blue Rowers (students) embarked on a week-long Solidarity Camp to Mullewa, Western Australia. The camp was designed to help the Rowers understand solidarity through lived experience and helping them to realise that they have the capacity to be the ‘hands and feet of Christ’. Click here to read more and see more photos from the camp.
24:7 Floreat Youth Group
Angela and Sabastian from 24:7 Youth Ministry would like to thank the 22 young people who came along to the Floreat / Wembley Youth Group last Sunday. The Youth Group meets each Sunday night (6.00pm – 8.00pm) in the Parish Centre for all young people in Years 6-12. This week’s Youth Group is going to be another terrific night, and Angela and Sabastian would love to see you all there! Don’t forget to bring 5 friends to win a block of chocolate!

Weekly Thursday Morning Community Mass (Champagnat Chapel – 8.10am – 8.35am)
All parents, guardians and families across our PK-12 College are invited to attend the weekly Thursday morning Mass celebrated by Fr Joseph Tran and Fr Mark Baumgarten. Our weekly Newman College Community Mass is an important way that we as a Catholic community seek to nourish and live-out our faith in community with one another.
