Year 11 Geography Excursion Highlights

It was another glorious day in the Swan Valley for Year 11 Geography. The students have been investigating the reasons for and consequences of the changing spatial distribution of production and consumption of a food based good – Wine. We were lucky enough to explore Upper Reach Winery and be ably guided through the production process, from vine to table, by the owner.

The students applied their knowledge to a real-life experience, collecting and analysing data and simply experiencing the geography they have been studying. A wonderful addition to the trip back to Newman College is the quick hello to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory in the Swan Valley; chocolate a global food product.
