Remar Blue Solidarity Camp

The Remar Blue Solidarity Camp will take place on 22 – 28 August, 2018. The Blue Rowers will travel to Mullewa in Western Australia to undertake a “live in” experience in order to gain an understanding that the Solidarity Camp is based on the foundation of working in order to be the ‘hands and feet of Christ’. The camp aims to give Rowers an opportunity to experience ‘service’ in a prolonged context, whilst deepening their experience of communal living within a Christian context. The experience will encourage an exchange of ‘wisdom and skills’ between both the Caravel and the community it is serving and will embrace the Marist value of simplicity in all aspects. The camp provides the Caravel with a focus on practical projects and community participation and will challenge Rowers to reflect on their personal values and beliefs in relation to ministry and service. Central to the experience is morning and evening prayer, along with daily meetings to discuss how the Caravel is working to form a strong Christian community.
