IPSHA Cross Country Carnival
The Lavalla Interschool Cross Country team competed with exceptional results in the IPSHA Cross Country Carnival last week. Very strong performances in all year levels resulted in 30 of our 65 strong team placing in the top 10 of their respective races. The Year 5 girls managed to take out 6 of their top 10 positions. A special mention to Harrison Warrick (Year 6) and Sienna O’Rourke (Year 5) who were awarded champion boy and girl in their year level. Our other top three finishers included Luke Rombouts 2nd (Year 3), Chloe Rear 3rd (Year 4), Jasper Martin-Booth 2nd (Year 4), Ella Hills 2nd, Grace Richardson 3rd and Cooper Trovarello 3rd (Year 5), Olivia Lim 3rd and Harry Prentice 2nd (Year 6). The team represented Newman College with distinction, demonstrating good sportsmanship, courage and determination. An outstanding result for all involved!
