NAS Sport Term 2 – 2022
NAS Sport
Despite some challenges and disruption to the season we managed to complete a full Winter NAS season. Well done to all students who participated and enjoyed healthy competition in the right spirit. We would also like to thank all of the NAS Coaches who gave up their time and energy to coach a team. Without their commitment and enthusiasm, we would not have these great opportunities.
Congratulations to the Yr 7 Boys NAS Soccer Team and coach Mr Diamond who were the 2022 Premiers!
Our Yr 11/12 Boys and Girls teams competed strongly this week in our Senior NAS One Day Carnival. The standard of competition was extremely high across the 5 sports of Soccer, AFL, Netball, Badminton and Volleyball. All students gave of their best and demonstrated good sportsmanship throughout.
NAS Sport will resume late in Term 3 for another Senior One Day Carnival and then for a Summer series for Years 7 -10 in Term 4.
Athletics
Our immediate focus will now turn to Athletics with the Guild Athletics Carnival taking place in Week 3 next Term. Nominations and Pre-Carnival Events will occur in Week 2.
We hope you all have a well-deserved break and everyone comes back energised for another big term of sport at Newman.
