Year 2 Revolutions Transport Museum

The Year 2 Excursion to Whiteman Park was fantastic! Each class had a session in the Revolutions Transport Museum exploring how different forms of transport have changed over time. Students were fascinated by the first ever bike called a ‘velocipede’, the old train and car.

During the day we also enjoyed a tram ride around the park. The tram was from Melbourne and was made mostly of wood on the inside. It was from 1955 but the oldest one there was 120 year old!

Thankfully the rain held off and we got to play olden day playground games too. Tug of War was a favourite with both boys and girls, and the girls showed they had what it takes to win! What a wonderful day of learning and fun!
