Book Week Events
Each year across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together celebrating CBCA Book Week. This year, Book Week is taking place from 17 – 23 August with the theme being Reading is My Secret Power.
The following events will be taking place before, during and after Book Week in 2019:
Marcellin Campus
Throughout Week 5 (Tuesday 20 – Friday 23 August) there will be a range of activities held each day on the Marcellin Campus. Further information will be advertised to students in the daily notices. Events include:
- The Write A Book in A Day Competition
- Haiku Competition
- Guess the ‘Shelfies’ PCG Quiz
- Limerick Competition
- ‘Book Memories’ PCG Quiz
- Lunchtime Book Week Kahoot Quiz
- Year 11 students reading to Lavalla students
- Newman College Short Story Competition
The CBCA nominated books will also be on display on the Siena Learning Centre for students to loan. Students are encouraged to get involved in these many activities available to them.
