Champagnat Festival Day

Friday, 14 June 2019

Thursday 6 June 2019 is the Feast Day of St Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Brothers and of Marist education. To mark this very special day in the life of the International Marist Institute, our K-12 College community will be celebrating Champagnat Day across the College on Friday 14 June. As one of 52 Marist schools across Australia, the Feast Day of St Marcellin Champagnat is an opportunity for all members of our College community to gather, give thanks, and to celebrate our shared Marist identity.

K-6 Students

All students, K-6 will celebrate Champagnat Day by spending the day at Lavalla Campus. Throughout the day, students will partake in a Liturgy and classroom activities with their buddy.

Y7-12 Students

Students will celebrate Champagnat Day by attending Mass in the morning followed by the annual Champagnat Day Fete and Talent Show. All money raised on this day is for Australian Marist Solidarity.

Please note that the canteens at both the Lavalla and Marcellin Campuses will be closed on Friday 14 June.

Students on the Marcellin Campus will have the opportunity to purchase lunch from the variety of food stalls during the Champagnat Day Fete.

All K-6 students are able to order a sausage sizzle lunch via Flexischools. This will be the only ordering available on Friday 14 June. If your child is not ordering lunch they will need to bring it from home. Flexischools ordering will open closer to the time of the event.

Attendance on Friday 14 June, like any other school day, is compulsory for all students.
